`The World Game training was one of the most engaging learning experiences I have had. I loved how the instructors encouraged us to trust what we already know as gifted individuals, educators, and parents, and to blend that with our intuition and lived experience. As someone who always needs to fi dget in order to focus, I was surprised by how fully engaged my brain felt the entire time. Building villages, observing, and analyzing kept me present, curious, and deeply invested.
What stood out to me is that The World Game honors children who may not show their strengths through traditional tests. I work with students in my school in the United States and also with gifted children and families across Latin America and Spain. Many of the students I serve do not test well or feel motivated in academic settings, yet they are creative, thoughtful, and full of potential. As an early childhood educator who values play therapy and the way children reveal their inner world through play, I see this tool as a more culturally responsive way to understand how children think and learn.
At my school and in my nonprofi t work, I plan to use The World Game as part of the portfolio for students who have been working for years to earn a gifted identifi cation without success. I believe this tool will help us recognize out of the box thinkers and give children a chance to show who they really are.` Cecilia Quintanilla, Founder and President YBNeuro, Denver Co.

`I really enjoyed participating in The World Game Practitioner training. The curriculum was both engaging and thought-provoking. It offered a creative and innovative approach that kept me fully invested throughout. I found the content to be not only relevant but also inspiring, and it has sparked new ideas for how I can apply these strategies in my own work. I am genuinely looking forward to what is to come as I continue to grow with the training and certification I have received.` Dr. Wilmerys Soto, Psy.D. NCSP, Denver/Northglenn CO

`My experience in the World Game Practitioner training was exceptional. The learning environment was warm, collaborative, and intellectually rich. The trainers, Grith and Johnnie,  brought deep expertise and modeled such respect and curiosity for children’s inner worlds. This training not only expanded my understanding of the World Game as a powerful lens for exploring student strengths and needs, but also provided practical tools, guided future practice, and immediately built my confidence. I left the training feeling inspired and eager to begin using the World Game with students, as well as to further collaborate with colleagues across the state of Colorado towards implementation of this instrument as a Gifted and Talented qualifier as we continue to grow in our understanding of the tool. I would highly recommend this training to any professional working to better understand ALL children they are working with but especially with students of high potential.`- Dr. Amanda Reynolds – Brighton, Colorado | School District 27J Gifted & Talented Coordinator

`The World Game training and the potential to use the World Game in my practice working with gifted children ages 4-10, has re-inspired my work, adding a new dimension to my ability to understand my students and help guide parents to better support their children. The training leaders were deeply informed, experienced, and thoughtful as they transmitted as much information as possible to us in a short time. The hands-on experience administering and observing children interacting with the game was invaluable. From beginning to end, the training kept me intrigued, engaged, and excited to learn more. ` Maya Sissoko, San Francisco Bay Area, CA

`To everyone who enjoys working with children and understanding them better, I highly recommend the World Game training. As a school psychologist who was trained to give standardized cognitive and academic tests, the World Game training provides an opportunity to open your eyes to a new way of learning about children and understanding the many ways they think, feel, and create. The World Game invites children to `create a village` and through that process, children use their play skills to tell a story about their inner world. As the practitioner, you feel honored to join the child’s world, even for just a few minutes. This training allows you to join other professionals in an inspiring and supportive environment, not to mention highly engaging and fun. I strongly encourage you to join the community of World Game practitioners! You will walk away from the experience with a deeper understanding of yourself and how to further your practice of working with children.` – Dr. Ana Candelaria,
School Psychologist, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A

`I am so thankful for the opportunity to apply the World Game to my professional practice. The training in Colorado was excellent. I’m looking forward to becoming more practiced with my interpretation and communication and your willingness to help us gain experience through feedback on our photographs and initial interpretations will be incredibly valuable.`- Jennifer Tarbox, Dean of Student Support, Gifted Education Coordinator – Academy for Advanced and Creative Learining, Colorado Springs

`The World Game test provides insight into the cognitive abilities as well as the affective and pedagogical aspects of a child, more specifically how the child explores the world, how the child handles itself in the world and how the child processes knowledge and new information. By asking the child to build a village using hand crafted, building blocks, we open the door to the child’s creativity, allowing the child to feel safe. The informal and playful nature of the test makes the World Game a fun activity for the child as well. Gifted children are unique in their quantitative performances and experiences, and they are often characterized by asynchronous development and intense overexcitabilities. In order to teach and help them appropriately, we need to be curious about their inner lives as well as the outer, measurable qualities. Because of its playful appearance, the World Game test is difficult for the child to “see through,” making it equally difficult to manipulate a specific result or to prep the child in advance. At the same time the World Game provides insights into aspects of the child’s well-being; aspects that many children find challenging to express verbally.
The insights gained through the World Game are useful when working to understand a child, providing us with indications of possible strengths and weaknesses, i.e.: Visual processing difficulties, Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, OCD, Perfectionism, Relation to mother and father, Creativity, Cooperation of hemispheres, Learning style. By using the World Game, we gain access to the inner life of the child by means of this formalized qualitative assessment tool. The insights allow us to approach the child with authenticity and understanding, creationg a greater sense of purpose and meaning for the child, thus enabling us to map the child`s potential.`Dr. Linda Silverman, Grith Tschorn, Nikki Myers – CAGT-Conference, Colorado

`The World Game assessment is what I have been searching for for a long time. The ability to have a tool to objectively assess a child at play is a game changer for educators to have in their toolbox. For too long we have relied on verbal/language heavy assessments that tend to miss so much.  This is well researched and should be an integral part of a child’s assessment battery. I am excited to be among the first educators to bring this to the US. This will definitely be an integral part of our 3D Learner(R) program when working with these smart Visual Spatial/Right-Brained learners. Working with the most incredible professionals from around the world to be trained in this program was such a thrill. Thank-you for bringing this to us!!` Mira Halpert, MEd, Director/Founder of 3D Learner, Inc – USA

The training was an extraordinary and wonderful occasion for me on so many different levels. The World Game is an amazing tool and I look forward to using it this year to help children and their teachers have a better understanding of how they learn best. I wanted to thank you wholeheartedly and let you know I will be eternally grateful for your precious gift to me.‘ Naomi Woods – Elementary Teacher, Rome

`To our way of thinking, the World Game aligns beautifully with our school mission statement: fostering gifted education from the inside out.`  Dr. J. Frank, Westmount Charter School, Calgary-Canada

`The World Game was developed in the 1920s in Europe as the basis for play therapy. It is both a projective test and a non-verbal IQ test that can be used to find gifted children from culturally diverse backgrounds, bilingual, 2E… all kinds of backgronds of childrend that are often missed in our indentification of the gifted. It only takes 15 minutes to administer. This training is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop expertise with this fascinating instrument. ` Dr. Linda Silverman-Gifted Development Center, Denver

`I was trained in 2018 in Denmark. It is a subjective tool. I do the World Game with every child that I see just as I am beginning to work with them. It`s a wonderful way to start and they love building their village. In the buildig I am able to see various aspects of a child in how they learn as well as personal characteristics. And it often reflects things from their present and past as well.  Tina Harlow, child and family therapist-Colorado USA.

`My first experience happened while having my own son assest with the World Game by the Gifted Institute Denmark. And I instantly knew that I just had to learn how to work with this fascinating tool that has so much told me about my son. The World Game makes a huge different for me in my work. I recommend anyone working with assessment, teaching or the well being of children anyway to sign up for this training.` Stine Borbye Edelvang – speech and language pathologist and behavior analyst-Denmark

‘With the knowledge I gained, I was able to coach in a much more focused way.’ Josien Peters, psychologist–Belgium

`You have been an excellent teacher! You taught us critical concepts, helped us see complex relationships and determine patterns as we learned new information. Your well-paced teaching strategies were respectful of the acquisition of knowledge and your “classroom” was a safe environment where trust, risk-taking and self-efficacy was promoted. You encouraged us toward higher order thinking skills, problem-solving and imagination. No wonder we developed, with you, a warm social-emotional relationship in which to think and work together.`  Dr. Janneke Frank, Consultant, Gifted Education-Canada
